![]() ![]() At this point, I think you can take on the Furies and Lernie (The Bone Hydra) with no problem at all. It’s a great way of acquiring more Titan’s Blood and Diamonds as they are definitely useful. ![]() However, you can actually increase the heat level for weapons you haven’t escaped with at the moment. You can also crank up the heat gauge if you’re a bit of a masochist, but you really don’t need to do that to earn more bounties. Traps can hit you harder, each area has to be cleared in nine minutes or less, your Mirror Skills can be locked, and so much more fun stuff to keep it fresh! Bosses have additional moves in their arsenal. Enemies could have more health, grow in number, or have an extra layer of armor. Imagine the Chaos challenges, but instead of a few encounters, try the whole run. Like a frog in a pot, it starts you off small, one point on the heat gauge. Meaning, maybe you probably had an easy time using the Coronacht with the lock-on or you took your sweet time with the Aegis. However, it’s not going to be the same rodeo as let me warn you… it will be hard. Just to be clear, you don’t need to take on these challenges, but you really want to max out all those weapons with the extra Titan’s Blood. The good stuff being Titan’s Blood, Diamonds, and Ambrosia. So welcome to the Pact of Punishment, where you can take on extra challenges and reset your bounty so you can get more of the good stuff. As a former boss kept telling me at my first job, “It’s good for the soul”. He’s that tough supervisor that gives you useless tasks and his way of encouragement is that Boomer sentiment of all that work is good for you. One thing that has changed is that Hades, being a disgruntled section chief that he is, has to make things extra difficult for you. If you’re gonna get something delivered, might as well ask for the best. So why bother decorating the damn house, making friends, or petting Cerberus when you’re gonna fly off to see Yanni at the Acropolis anyway? (For those too young to get the reference, Google is your friend) Turns out, your dead ass is tied to the Underworld and you only have fifteen minutes to have a conversation with your mother or you can order a pizza from Sam Porter Bridges to get to you by then. The game had you going didn’t it? All will be well when you get out. If you’re brand new to the experience, play a few rounds then read Newbie’s Guide to Exploring Hades. If you need help actually beating the big man, read our Newbie’s Guide to Schooling Hades. I can’t stop you from reading any further, but know the risks of spoiling yourself from an enriching experience. That means you’ve successfully escaped, not reached the surface only to be kicked to the curb by the eponymous big daddy himself. Make sure to speak with her and Hades once you make it back down for some more dialogue.Disclaimer: This guide is meant for players who have completed their first successful run of Hades. Speak to her to learn that she's ready to come back to the Underworld and enjoy the fantastic musical score as the credits roll over the two of them riding Charon's ferry down the river Styx. He'll let you pass and speak to Persephone this final time without a fight. But, once you're on your tenth attempt, you won't need to fight Hades this last time. Each time you make it to Greece you'll get another piece of the story, just like how other NPC's stories revealed themselves to you over time. Thankfully you don't need to win all these runs consecutively. That also means toppling Hades 9 more times. ![]() To get the true ending you will need to exhaust all of Persephone's dialogue with Zagreus, which means speaking to her a total of ten times, including the first. In the end you will be put back at the start as always, charged with repeating your attempts at escape, only now you know what is waiting for you on the surface. They will share some dialogue where you will learn more about her history with Hades and the other Gods of Olympus, but Zagreus unfortunately cannot remain in the realm of the living for long enough to hear her entire story. This NPC is none other than Persephone, Zagreus' mother. Greece isn't a new level exactly, there are no mobs or challenges here (although you can go fishing if you like) and only one NPC to interact with. That's no longer true, and instead of being thrust back to the start, you will instead be brought to an entirely new area, Greece. Even upon winning, Zagreus would still be killed and sent all the way back down into the House of Hades to make his climb all over again. Prior to the full release, defeating Hades was the last thing you could do. But, in typical rogue-like fashion, beating the final boss once is essentially just the beginning. Obviously you will need to fight your way all the way to Hades and defeat him. The final boss has, even before the final release, always been Zagreus' father, Hades. ![]()
